What a perfect combination--cooling water and great thrill rides! Not only is Orlando home to the world’s largest water park, it also offers the most varied selection. Generally the parks have something for kids of all ages, from toddler-age and up, as well as fun rides, slides, and relaxing lazy river floats for the adults in the family.
Dozens of parks, including several Disney affiliates like Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, boast thrilling rides, like the Slush Gusher and Downhill Double Dipper, or the surf simulator and Anaconda slide at Water Mania. Along with the thrilling rides and one-of-a-kind attractions, such as the dolphin swim at Discovery Cove, many parks offer white sand beaches, volleyball courts, picnicking areas, and much more to ensure that your day at the park is action-packed and tons of fun.
When planning your day, keep in mind the Orlando sunshine; a 3 to 5 hour stay at most parks is about the right amount of time. Also, keep your packing simple; most parks prefer that you use their snorkels, flippers etc. Coolers are allowed, but no alcohol or glass containers. Forget to pack something? Not to worry. Everything from sunblock to beach towels are available from the parks.
